| On
13 and 14 October 2000 Centre for Security Studies
held a two-day seminar/conference on international
negotiation, at the Law Faculty in Banja Luka, Bosnia
and Herzegovina. The seminar was held as part of the
consular-diplomatic stream of postgraduate specialisation
at the University of Banja Luka, and was intended
to introduce the participants in the modern methods
of diplomatic training and negotiation techniques.
As the seminar was held in the Serbian language, attached
materials are also in Serbian. They include:
1.
Programme of the seminar
2.
Short biografies of the lecturers
3.
Summaries of the lectures
In addition to the lectures, the
seminar consisted of practical simulations of negotiation
situations relevant to the audience and was characterised
by an extremely high appeal and dynamic response by
all those involved, so this type of courses will be
continued. As a result of the seminar, the University
of Banja Luka has decided to expand the consular-diplomatic
stream of studies to a one year long programme.
